Control system and Electronic protection
The CDS1-68E serves as a replacement for the original electromechanical protections and at the same time forms a superior control system for compressor inverters and an electrodynamic brake controller.
The basic member is the electronics cabinet in the 19" design and 3U height. The electronics cabinet is installed in the locomotive's electronics cabinet. This cabinet contains electronic modules of input/output and communication interfaces, measurement and control.
The LEM current and voltage converters are connected to the input analog interfaces, and through the converters, currents of the traction transformer and voltage measurements in the trolley are connected.
With the help of these voltage, current sensors and converters, installed in the engine room of the locomotive, they measure the traction circuits. When the limit values are exceeded, they intervene by turning off the main switch. The measured values can be displayed on the display screen on the driver's desk.
The digital input interface enables sensing of states from locomotive circuits.
The output interface enables the control of auxiliary circuits of the locomotive and signalling.
The displays at the driver's stations, the tap sensor of the SORT regulation transformer, the electronic tachograph and the inverters of the compressor motors are connected to the communication interface. The displays are intended for displaying locomotive operating states and diagnostics.
