Modernization and Bohemianisation of Railcars
Bohemianisation involves the addition of train control systems and speedometers that meet the standards that are necessary for a railcar to be able and allowed to run on Czech railways. These modifications are then followed by test runs, tests and certification of the unit for live operation on the railways of the Czech Republic.
Specifically, we bohemianised the order for Leo Express and Lint units by replacing the networks – ÖLFLEX Train cables, installing inverters for charging passengers’ devices under each double seat – 230 V+USB and of course installing a train control system and MIREL speedometer.
Beyond the bohemianisation, for this job we created or repaired tables, armrests, cooling system seals in the heater area, helped with the installation of the display system, and added matte protective films for bicycle transport. We also assisted in the chassis disassembly and full operational capacity approval in the Czech Republic. Finally, we assisted in the maintenance of the railcar for the start of live operation.
